Install the WordPress plugin

The SEMOptimiser WordPress plugin wires the dashboard's audit results back into your WordPress editor. Three things become possible: every post can be one-click pushed to IndexNow on publish, audit fixes can be deployed without leaving WordPress, and you can see SEO scores per post in the editor sidebar.

Install from the WordPress directory

1. In WP Admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
2. Search for "SEMOptimiser".
3. Click Install on the SEMOptimiser plugin.
4. After installation, click Activate.

Connect to your workspace

1. After activation, a SEMOptimiser menu appears in the WP sidebar.
2. Click Connect. You're redirected to SEMOptimiser to authorize.
3. Pick the workspace and site this WordPress install corresponds to, then Authorize.
4. You're bounced back to WP Admin. The plugin is now connected.

Alternative: manual API key

If your WordPress install can't reach the OAuth redirect (firewalled internal sites), you can paste a Client ID + Secret (see Generate an API key) directly into the plugin settings.

What the plugin enables

1. Auto-IndexNow on publish

Every time you publish or update a post, the plugin pings IndexNow with the new URL. Bing typically indexes within minutes. Toggle this off in SEMOptimiser → Settings → Auto-submit.

2. Editor sidebar SEO score

In the Gutenberg editor, a SEMOptimiser panel shows the SEO score, AI-readability score, missing meta description warning, image alt-text completeness, and a checklist of fixable issues. Updates live as you type.

3. One-click fixes from audits

When you run an audit on the same domain, fixable issues appear in WP Admin → SEMOptimiser → Fixes. Click Apply on any issue and the plugin updates the post directly – no FTP, no SFTP, no manual editing.

Multisite

The plugin supports WordPress Multisite. Network-activate, then each subsite's admin can connect to its own SEMOptimiser site independently. The network admin sees a roll-up of all connected subsites.

Uninstall

Deactivate and delete the plugin from WP Admin → Plugins. The OAuth token is invalidated automatically. To also revoke from the SEMOptimiser side, go to Settings → Integrations → WordPress → Disconnect.

Compatibility

Tested with WordPress 5.7 through 6.6, PHP 7.4+, Gutenberg and Classic Editor. The Apply-fix feature requires PHP 8.0+. Multisite supported. Compatible with major caching plugins (WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed) – the plugin purges relevant pages after applying fixes.
