Export your data

You can export everything in your SEMOptimiser workspace at any time. The export is a single ZIP archive containing JSON files for each data type. Use it for backups, migrations to another tool, or GDPR data-subject requests.

Request an export

1. Go to Settings → Profile → Data export.
2. Pick the scope: just your user data, your entire workspace, or specific sub-areas (audits only, rankings only, etc.).
3. Click Generate export. We start packaging in the background.
4. You'll get an email within 10 minutes (workspace) or under a minute (just user data) with a download link.
5. The link is valid for 7 days. Click to download the ZIP.

What's in the export

The ZIP is structured by category:

• /users/ – your user record, integration tokens (redacted), session history.
• /workspace/ – workspace metadata, billing plan, member roles.
• /audits/ – every audit ever run, including full URL lists, issues, scores.
• /keywords/ – every tracked keyword, its rank history (daily), all locations and devices.
• /integrations/ – what's connected, last sync times. Tokens are redacted.
• /conversions/ – conversion events and attributions.
• /ai-visibility/ – prompts, daily snapshots, competitor mentions.
• /api-credentials/ – your Client ID (Secret is not included for security).
• /audit-logs/ – every action taken in the workspace, with actor and timestamp (CEO plan).

Each folder contains one JSON file per record or a single rolled-up JSON depending on the data type.

How big the export is

A typical Marketing-tier workspace export is 10-50 MB. Management+ workspaces with years of history can reach 500 MB or more. We compress aggressively (gzip inside the ZIP) so the wire transfer is manageable.

Importing into another tool

The JSON is structured, documented (each folder has a README.md), and reasonably easy to script against. We don't provide a converter for any specific competitor tool, but the field names match common SEO data models. Talk to support if you're evaluating a migration – we can usually help.

Frequency

You can generate as many exports as you want. There's no per-day limit, though very large workspaces are throttled to one in-flight export at a time to prevent system overload.

Privacy considerations

Once you download the ZIP, you're responsible for storing it securely. We don't encrypt the ZIP itself (the email link is HTTPS and 7-day-expiring). If you need an encrypted export, use a password manager to set a passphrase after download.
